SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Library,
archives, museums and other cultural services. South West Wing Project
(SWWP) involves the refurbishment and extension to the grade 1 listed
South West Wing of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich to create a
publicly accessible archive relating to British maritime history with
galleries, learning and research facility. Expressions of interest are
being sought for qualified and experienced fine art packing and shipping
companies with significant experience working with historic library
collections and museum objects to undertake the packing, transportation
and unpacking. The collections will be moved from the National Maritime
Museums archive and library basement store in Greenwich to its off-site
storage facility. The contractor will be expected to work closely with the
Museum to agree a working methodology, supply sufficient qualified packing
staff and vehicles to ensure the timely delivery of the project. Currently
the collection of approximately 345 cubic metres is being housed in mobile
racking units and will be transferred and unpacked in the interim storage
facility while the SWWP building works are taking place.

II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: Packing and transportation of Archive
and Library collection of approximately 345 cubic metres. Presently housed
in mobile racking unit, to be transferred and unpacked into interim
storage facility. Short timeframe for the works, anticipated start of
1.3.2009, finished by no later than 14.5.2009.
II.3) DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME-LIMIT FOR COMPLETION: Duration in
months: 2 (from the award of the contract).

Article 3 of the Council Act of 26.5.1972 and Article 3(1) of Council

(j) Has been the subject of a conviction for fraud within the meaning of
Article 1 of the Convention relating to the protection of the financial
interests of the European Communities;
(k) Has been the subject of a conviction for money laundering, as defined
in Article 1 of Council Directive 91/308/EEC of 10.6.1991 on prevention of
the use of the financial system for the purpose of money laundering.

necessary for evaluating if requirements are met: (a) Appropriate
statements from banks or, where appropriate, evidence of relevant
professional risk indemnity insurance;
(b) The presentation of balance-sheets or extracts from the
balance-sheets, where publication of the balance-sheet is required under
the law of the country in which the economic operator is established;
(c) A statement of the undertaking's overall turnover and, where
appropriate, of turnover in the area covered by the contract for a maximum
of the last three financial years available, depending on the date on
which the undertaking was set up or the economic operator started trading,
as far as the information on these turnovers is available.
